Latest Dairyland Classic Updates

May 22, 2022 Factory Honda Coming to the Dairyland Classic!
Turner Racing is once again bringing the official American Honda flat track racing team back to Plymouth, Wisconsin for the 2022 Dairyland Classic on June 3!

#13 Morgen Mischler, of Beaver Dam, is the defending Dairyland Classic champion and currently sits third in the AFT Singles championship.

#79 Dalton Gauthier, of Pine Grove, PA, was the 2019 AFT Singles National Champion and the 2020 AFT SuperTwins Rookie of the Year. Dalton is currently in fifth place in AFT Singles points.

#106 is Chase Saathoff of Hillsboro, IL. Chase was the 450cc Amateur winner at the 2021 Dairyland Classic and also claimed the AMA Horizon Award for exceptional performance at the AMA Grand Championships last summer. Chase sites in 6th place in AFT Singles points.

Travelling with the team will be Team Manager, Bryan Bigelow (the 2007 Dairyland Classic champion) and team owner Mike Turner.
Both have been very vocal supporters of our event! We truly appreciate their support!

May 15, 2022 Sammy Halbert Coming to the Dairyland Classic!
#69 Slammin' Sammy Halbert will be racing his first big race of 2022 at the Dairyland Classic on June 3!

Sammy broke his leg at the AFT season finale in Charlotte last fall, and has only been on a motorcycle a few times in 2022.
He plans to race a select few races in 2022, and the Dairyland Classic is his first 'big race'.

Sammy' last visit to the Dairyland Classic was 2011, where he won the Jim Sumner Memorial Dash For Cash, and finished second in the final behind Jared Mees and in front of Chris Carr.
Sammy lost his steel shoe late in that race, which thwarted any shot he had of chasing down Mees for the win.

It will be great to have Sammy up here again after 11 years!

We finished our event last night at 10:30pm!
We had 119 entries from 15 states and two countries competing in our six racing divisions!

We had five of the top eight AFT-Singles professional racers in attendance!

June 8, 2021 Factory Honda Coming to the Dairyland Classic!
Turner Racing is bringing the official American Honda flat track racing team to Plymouth, Wisconsin for the 2021 Dairyland Classic on June 11.

Team Manager Bryan Bigelow, a two-time AMA Grand National winner and the 2007 Dairyland Classic champion, commented “As of day one, I was a believer in this event (the Dairyland Classic), and the purpose behind it. I told the guys at Honda ‘we need to be there’. Thankfully, they listened. We did some testing today and we are prepared for Friday.”

#17 Henry Wiles, of Winn, Michigan, has scored the most career National wins using single-cylinder engines in AMA Grand National and American Flat Track history, with 30 wins to his credit (plus two more National wins using twin-cylinder engines). After five events in 2021, Henry sits in eighth place in the American Flat Track Singles championship. Henry has raced at the Dairyland Classic several times in the past, including a third place finish in 2010 when he carried the AMA Grand National Singles #1 plate.

#21 Trevor Brunner, of Aurora, Indiana, won the American Flat Track Springfield Short Track National last fall as a first-year pro. Trevor is currently in seventh place in American Flat Track Singles points, and will be making his first appearance at the Dairyland Classic.

The Dairyland Classic Presented by Hoban Brothers is Wisconsin’s premier outdoor flat track motorcycle racing event. Racing action on the 1/3-mile banked clay track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds begins at 7pm on Friday June 11.

May 15, 2021 Online Tickets Not Available for 2021.
We put a ton of effort into this, but we were unable to come to terms with the vendor we were working with.
We had several 'false starts', where we got the 'all systems go!' signal, but then something else went south and...well, paper tickets again this year.
We apologize for not getting this done for 2021. But we are working already towards 2022!

Advance tickets are available at Hoban's Cycle in Newton.

May 29, 2021 No Road To American Flat Track for 2021.
American Flat Track informed us today that there is no Road To AFT program for 2021.
Our 250cc Road to A.F.T. and 450cc Road to A.F.T. classes have been redesignated as 250cc Amateur and 450cc Amateur.
This does not - in any way - change how we will run our event.

March 20, 2021 We are still working on the logistics of offering online ticket sales to help combat the spread of COVID-19.

Getting everything organized for that is taking longer than we anticipated.

We hope to have it all sorted out by May 1. Stay tuned.

March 17, 2021We have signed up to be a Road To AFT event for 2021!

The AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) and AFT (American Flat Track) have created a program whereby amateur racers will earn points at certain event towards a professional license with AFT.

To be a Road to AFT event, we must host our traditional 250cc Amateur class as well as a 450cc Amateur class.
So we will have one new class of racing this year!
We believe that the Dairyland Classic is one of the best run events in the country, so our hope is that being part of the Road To AFT program will draw riders from all four corners of the country to Plymouth to put on a show for our spectators!
