This exhaustive collection of Junior/Amateur and Expert AMA Pro Racing rider numbers was compiled by reviewing thousands of motorcycle racing programs, results, and newspaper articles. You will not find a more comprehensive list of rider numbers anywhere.

This 382-page compilation of AMA Pro Racing dirt track Expert and Junior/Amateur riders covers the years from 1965-1990. Each rider's number, name, hometown, and racing classification are listed. Identification of Rookie Expert years, factory riders, and rider deaths, are also listed.

The AMA Flat Track District Letter assignments from 1965-1990 are also included. Accompanying tables show a break-down of professional rider, by state and classification, from 1970-1989. Whenever a rider listed several home states over the course of a calendar year, that rider is listed in each of those states for that year.

Finally, the Novice number and final year of Novice competition are listed for many prominent flat track stars from 1965-1985.

The author used every available resource to verify and validate all rider information, but he admits that there may be an occasional error, as the author was unable to verify all data from every original source.
